Industrial Relations Manager Post Date: 12 Jun 09
Job objectives:
Represent management in industrial relations with employees, unions,
employer bodies and industrial authorities; and provide advise to
management on industrial relations strategies to ensure continued
productivity and profitability.
Main responsibilities:
*
Act as organization's representative in dealings with union
officials on matters relating to enterprise agreements and other
business decisions including changes in pay and work conditions,
disciplinary action, and other personnel actions.
*
Interpret agreements and represent management in the negotiation
and settlement of grievances under established procedures.
*
Champion the formulation of 'standardized' company' policies/
rules and regulation across all business units, and negotiate with
unions to adjust current policies accordingly.
*
Provide regular advise and training to managers and supervisors
on contemporary industrial relations practice to encourage a
productive and harmonious workplace.
*
Prepare reports compiling and analysing industrial relations
issues for management review, including health safety & environment ,
agreements, etc.
Person's profile:
*
D3 or S1 degree
*
Min 7 years experience as Industrial Relations Manager in middle
size company with significant control over the organization's
negotiations with employees and unions.
*
Comprehend acts, rules and regulations related to Industrial
relations and the contemporary HR systems and policies
*
Integrity, decisive, and articulative in communication.
